Horse races are exciting and all, but let’s face it: they’re over quicker than you can say pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis. Why yes, that is the longest word in the English dictionary. No, we’re not going to tell you what it means. Look it up. The point is, if you blink, you’ll likely miss a horse race. A polo match, though… now that’s what we call equestrian entertainment.
Polo is like if Football and Golf had a kid together and then gave him a pony on his seventh birthday. In other words, there’s never a dull moment. It’s a great sport, and watching a match is honestly some of the most fun you can have without riding a horse yourself. Let’s face it, now you want to watch some polo, which means you should totally come to the Glennon Gallop!
Sponsored in part by Kräftig, the Sixth Annual Glennon Gallop is on Saturday, September 22 at the Kräftig Polo Club. Proceeds from this exciting charity event support the Danis Pediatric Center at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. In addition to providing outpatient pediatric primary care services for children, the Danis Pediatric Center also offers specialty programs such as Reach Out and Read, an initiative to improve child literacy.
Although the polo match is certainly the main event, this year’s Glennon Gallop also features live entertainment, a retail row, and a lunch buffet. Of course, there’s going to be plenty of Real American Lager available for you to purchase as well! Oh, and there’s even a bounce house for the kids, so be sure to bring the whole family for an afternoon of fun by the polo field.
Kräftig invites you to join us as we support a great cause and watch a great polo match at this year’s Glennon Gallop. Purchase your tickets online and come on down to the Kräftig Polo Club this Saturday at 1:00pm for the best equestrian entertainment money can buy! Not just because we’re going to be there, but also because you’ll be helping kids.
