The premier vibration control and measurement software


Vibralab is a software package designed to control measurements of vibration. The main measurement procedure - Quantitative - produce images of amplitude and phase of the vibration, and is automated for ease of use. The amplitudes can be down to nanometers. This measurement, and others including Speckle noise reduction, Real time display and Phase Modulation, uses highly sophisticated 3D graphics technology to visualize the vibrating surfaces. Advanced image editing and statistics functions make it possible to enhance and understand the results even further. State of the art auto-detect technology checks for presence of needed instruments during start-up. In addition, the program is tightly integrated to the Windows graphical user interface, with printing capabilities, context sensitive help, toolbar and standard menus.

The VibraLab software includes an optional Automatic Measurement Module for performing advanced unattended vibration measurements. In addition, with the Automatic Measurement Module, VibraLab measurement procedures can be invoked and performed completely from other software (MatLab, scripting languages, etc.)

Application notes

The application notes are examples of using VibraLab and NDELab software in connection with the VibroMap 1000 and MicroMap 5000 instruments developed by Optonor AS.
The three application notes (in Adobe Acrobat .pdf format) are:

  • Non destructive testing (VibroMap 1000/VibraLab), with NDT examples:

    i) Disbond in polymer honeycomb structure
    ii) Defect in carbon reinforced material
    iii) Delamination in a CFR
     
  • MEMS measurements (MicroMap 5000/VibraLab/NDELab): analyzing MEMS and surfaces down to a few micrometer in size.
     
  • Sound field measurements (VibroMap 1000/VibraLab), with examples:

    i) Sound field from vibrating steel plate in air
    ii) Sound fields from transducer in water


The VibraLab Software Suite family
includes the following applications:

VibraLab5.0 Vibration measurements with the use of VibraMap and MicroMap instruments, plot and movie generation.

NDELab 1.6 Deformation and deflection measurements and surface topography measurements with the use of VibraMap and MicroMap instruments, plot and movie generation.

VibraLet 1.0 Process and display program for results from VibraLab (or NDELab). Can be run on any computer in your organization. Includes advanced image manipulation and editing functions, vibration movie generation, cross section and surface plots, saving to 50+ image and movie formats etc... .

Moviewer 1.3 Playback high-quality movies on any computer.


A total solution for vibration measurements

The VibraLab software suite is developed in cooperation with the leading metrology company Optonor, spesializing in optical and interferometric systems for vibration measurements, semistatic deflection measurements, nondestructive testing, stress and strain analysis and surface profiling.
